My name is Sarah Trolle. I am a primary school teacher and illustrator living near Kina Beach in Nelson, New Zealand, with my husband and two children.
I have always loved painting, drawing and printmaking and experimented with many art forms from a young age. I now spend much time teaching and creating art with children, which is high-energy and immensely rewarding.
I use various materials in my artwork including watercolour paints, gouache, coloured pencils, and digital works (Procreate). A variety of art styles are evident in my portfolio and constantly evolve.
I have illustrated picture books for Penguin Random House, Little Moa Books (Hachette NZ), Mary Egan Publishing (Little Love Books), Oratia, School Journals (Lift Education), Parliamentary Services, Reading Warrior Series and Mahi Pai
I have worked as a freelance illustrator on many interesting projects ranging from chocolate designs to creating educational resources and soft toys to designing the interior and exterior of a commercial shop.
